In 1996, Deena began writing her weekly column Positively Beautiful, which is published in a local Missouri paper and more recently in blog form on Facebook. Her background includes TV commercial production, Evening News promotion, and hosting her own radio request show, “Sunday Drive.” She has a passion for fitness and loves to share it on all platforms and poses, literally!. In 2018 she launched her business and welcomed her son into the world! She is a sensory teacher, bilingual mother, stepmother and believes that learning through play is essential in every child’s life. Alexa moved to Florida when she was fourteen years old and has always enjoyed working with children building their social, emotional development through play and activities.

Diana was born and raised in North Miami, Florida, she followed her four sisters into the wonderful city of Pembroke Pines. She was a Certified Dental Assistant before obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has worked in Sales and Marketing for over thirteen years, but her true passion is teaching. As an adjunct faculty member at Atlantic Technical College, Diana serves as a Dental Assisting Clinical Instructor. She loves the impact that gaining a skill can have on the lives of her students. Erica grew up in Michigan and knew she did not want to live in the cold forever! She found her roots in North Carolina where she met her husband, Scott. Hailing from Miami, Florida, Morneque Moore-Ramos is a talented and one-of-a-kind woman with a grand vision. She studied at Florida State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition. She attended Florida International University, where she received her Master’s Degree in Public Health. Morneque started her professional career working for The Department of Children and Families, protecting children and engaging families in need. She eventually moved on to The Children’s Trust and then Barry University as an adjunct Professor. During this time, in 2013, she started what was then known as Sugar City Treats 2013. After she created a beautiful candy buffet for her younger sister’s sweet sixteen party, the idea came to her. She loved creating that buffet so much and had fun in the process, and the beginning of an empire was born. After a while doing candy and sweets buffets, she entered the world of event planning and design. It was here that Morneque, and Sugar City, really began to shine. It wasn’t always cupcakes and rainbows. There were struggles along the way. Morneque worked full-time when she started the business and continued working full-time while building her business until 2017. The company name changed from Sugar City Treats to Sugar City Designs and became a full-blown event planning operation known for beautiful, unique, well-organized events.

Zee was born and raised in Miami and attended the University of Florida. Then she spent about fifteen years up North; while building her family and expanding in her career, she always knew she wanted to connect more with the community.
