Meet: Anny Carvalho
I’m a mom of two girls, a wife and a Mompreneur. I am the owner of a full service spa party entertainment company, Little Princess Spa Mobile Fairy Broward. I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling and getting to know new people.
How many kids do you have? What are their ages?
I have two kids, Gabriella 5 and Juliana 3.
A brief description of what a day in your life looks like.
My day starts a little chaotic as you can imagine getting two toddlers out of the house on time for school. There are tantrums, fighting, playing, etc. I’m sure all the moms here can relate. Getting in the car is a whole other situation but once the girls are finally in school, I go back home to my home office and start my day by getting organized, making calls to clients, and meetings with our employees, vendors, stocking up for our parties, and any special events in the community. We also have our pop-up inside Sawgrass Mills Mall on the weekends where we have our boutique and offer hair and makeup services, princess makeovers, and superhero makeovers, and have to get inventory ready for that as well.
How do you manage mom life while being an entrepreneur? Share some of your tips and tricks with us.
I love our business and the planning that goes into offering such a unique and memorable experience for families. Whether it’s through our mobile parties or our pop-ups. Little girls thrive on positive attention and affection, and celebrating their birthdays is a wonderful way to show them how special they are. It’s memories that will last a lifetime and they will cherish it forever. We don’t just offer a service but pride ourselves in creating an experience that can help boost kids self-esteem and confidence and empower them. I truly believe because I love what I do, it makes it much easier to juggle mom life while being an entrepreneur. Having two girls of my own, I think it’s important to raise them from a young age to have self confidence and boost their self-esteem in a positive and fun way.
What’s been your greatest joy in motherhood?
I’ve learned so much about myself since becoming a mother. I’ve learned how strong I am, how resilient I am, and just how much I enjoy it. It’s the most challenging, most fulfilling, and most important role by far. Its true what they say, the days are long but the years are short and we need to enjoy every second of it and that is why I love making memorable moments
What have you found most challenging in your motherhood journey?
Patience! These kids can really push buttons I had no idea existed. I think finding that balance of gentle parenting but also being firm can be a little challenging.
If we peeked in your purse right now, what would we find?
I am very organized and a bit OCD, so my purse is always organized but you can find; my wallet, hand sanitizer, lip gloss, diapers (you just never know), wipes, business cards, pens, keys and a small notebook.
Being a mom is no easy task. How do you relax?
It’s hard for me to just sit back and lounge, I’m not much of a lounger. I’m always on the go but I do try to have my time (me time), usually when the girls are asleep I’ll have a glass of wine, catch up with my husband or my shows, I try to schedule girls’ night at least once a month and I do work out daily at 12 pm.
