Holiday Meal Packing with City of Oakland Park  | Oakland Park 

Thier mission is to engage Oakland Park’s diverse community of residents and business owners through multi-media marketing, civic organization networking, outreach events, schools, faith-based organizations and business-to-business contacts in effort to educate, recruit and utilize volunteers by providing varied, meaningful and appropriate opportunities in which to participate for the betterment of the City of Oakland Park and its constituents.

Holiday Meal Delivery Driver  | Oakland Park 

For Family Volunteer Day, HandsOn Broward has partnered with the City of Oakland Park and Farm Share to deliver meals to homebound seniors. Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver meals in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday to homebound seniors in Oakland Park, FL. On Saturday, November 19, 2022 volunteer drivers will deliver pre-packaged meals with a smile while ensuring easier access to groceries as our City’s seniors celebrate the holiday. By participating in this volunteer opportunity, you will help provide over 100 homebound individuals with a holiday meal.

DIY Volunteer project: No-Sew Stockings  | Broward County 

The holidays are here! While the holiday season is a special time for most, many families in our local community are currently facing financial difficulties and the holidays can create additional stress. DIY volunteers will be creating no-sew stockings to fill with small toys and books to help spread the holiday cheer to young children within our Broward County community! These stockings will be distributed amongst local pre-schools and non-profit agencies serving young children.

Feeding South Florida is the largest, most efficient food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. More than 98% of all donations are put back into the community.

Fort Lauderdale Woman’s Club  | Fort Lauderdale

FLWC promotes charitable and educational activities through volunteerism. We award an educational scholarship annually, coordinate activities with fellow Woman’s Clubs and other local groups, support local, national, and international charities through money, time and/or goods. 

The Florida Humane Society  | Pompano Beach

 The Florida Humane Society serves as a primary adoption facility rescuing companion animals from animal control and owner surrenders.

The Florida Humane Society is a 501c3 non-profit organization not affiliated with any other humane organization and receives no funding from any local, state or federal agencies and is dependent entirely upon donations and the good will of the community.

Junior Achievement  | Coconut Creek 

Junior Achievement of South Florida is part of the JA USA network. Junior Achievement (JA) is the world’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic & economic choices. JA programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, & provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge & skills in financial literacy, work readiness & entrepreneurship.

In 2010 the Broward County Parks and Recreation Division launched its revamped volunteer initiative: the VIP Program, short for “Volunteers Improving Parks.” For many years the Division has depended heavily on its volunteers to augment and enhance park staff. And in these lean times, it just makes sense to use volunteers to extend our limited workforce through a more centralized and coordinated effort.

EmpowHERto is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping 14-21-year-old womxn and girls reach their full potential through three pillars: Independence, Leadership and Confidence.

Florida Host Families for Amazing Exchange Students  | Fort Lauderdale

 Volunteers needed at WellView Care. Looking for 3 volunteers for FibroScan(r) training (cannot be pregnant or have electronic implanted medical devices). The first selected volunteer should be of normal body size, and the second and third volunteers may be of slightly larger body size. WellView Care PATIENTS CANNOT BE VOLUNTEERS.
