Here is the truth, I MOM, usually just buy the already made pancakes from the store like Publix or Target. For waffles we buy the huge box of Kellogg’s Eggo Waffles from Costco that comes with like 880! Yes, you got it the frozen ones that we pop in the toaster.
For weekends and special occasions my husband, Franky on the other hand refuses to use “frozen pancakes” because the kids are always raving about how great his pancakes are. One day I remember he was on duty and my son Isiah asked ME for pancakes and it was a “Weekend”. My thoughts exactly were “What The” I took a deep breath, and I said “Honey Daddy is not here, you know mommy can’t make pancakes”. Laila chimed in and said “Yours are good”. His response was absolutely priceless and he said “Yes you can, all that matters is if you try your best” and continued with “Don’t give up mom”
Now, my thoughts really were “What in the world” is happening right now. It was the sweetest thing, I got up and I started my mission.
By the way, Franky makes these at work all the time for “Sunday Brunch” when he is on duty, you know the firemen and their food. I would always secretly watch him when he makes it at home, because apparently EVERYONE loves them!
I was glad to just get through the pancake process, the rest was easy breezy!
