Every year, we get together with friends and family and have a BBQ for memorial day! This year I feel super tired because I feel like the end of the school year for the kids just creeped up on us! I have a craving for BBQ Chicken, any one else?
Here are our families Top Picks for a quick and fun BBQ!
Grilled Burgers and Hot Dogs: A classic barbecue staple that everyone loves, burgers and hot dogs are easy to prepare and can be customized with a variety of toppings
BBQ Beef Ribs: For me because I don’t eat pork. I think I honestly fell in love with my husband when he made me these when we first met. Because I never really had ribs before, I thought it was always just pork ribs when I went out. So this is one of my favorites! Slow-cooked and smothered in tangy sauce, BBQ ribs are a must-have for any Memorial Day cookout.
Grilled Chicken: Marinated in a flavorful sauce and grilled to perfection, grilled chicken is a healthy and delicious option for your Memorial Day barbecue.
Potato Salad: A traditional side dish for any barbecue, potato salad is a crowd-pleaser that is easy to prepare in advance. Annie my bestie makes the best potato salad. We will need to get her recipe!
Watermelon Salad: Refreshing and light, watermelon salad is a perfect complement to any barbecue meal. Simply mix diced watermelon with feta cheese, fresh mint, and a splash of lime juice for a tasty summer salad.
Outdoor Fun For Everyone!
School is out for many families, we love to use this time as getting together and doing an βOut Of School Partyβ for the kids. My immediate family we are about 15 kids or more getting celebrating!
Here are some fun Ideas for a Great Memorial Day Weekend with Family:
Outdoor Games: Set up a few games in your backyard, such as cornhole, frisbee, or ladder toss, and enjoy some friendly competition with your family and friends.
Memorial Day Crafts: Get creative with your kids and make some patriotic-themed crafts, such as red, white, and blue windsocks or handprint flags.
Backyard Movie Night: Set up a projector and screen in your backyard and enjoy a movie night under the stars with your family.
Memorial Day Parade: Attend a local Memorial Day parade with your family and show your support for the brave men and women who have served our country.
Visit a Local Park or Beach: Take advantage of the beautiful weather and spend some time outdoors at a local park or beach. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the sunshine with your family.
Hope you have some well deserved family time! Have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend with loved ones, filled with love and remembrance.
