Clueless Mom About VPK

Broward County VPK Program Preschool Honestly, I am not sure about you, but I remember the first time I had to sign-up Isabella for preschool; I spent hours worrying about how I would pay weekly rates at daycare when Ben was the only one working. I remember chatting with my bestie, Rafeea telling her, I did not think I would be able to afford it. At the time, she was the director and owner of a daycare in Orange County. In my eyes, Isabella would be missing preschool.

She responded with, “Are you serious right now?”. I said, “yes, I am.” She said, “all you need to do is the VPK application!” I had no clue what she was talking about. I wish I had told her earlier; I could have saved myself all that pain and heartache. Ha! I thought to myself —-It’s pretty nice to have friends in high places because she did not just tell me what to do for the application; she stayed on the phone with me and completed it for me. I sent her the pictures and information, and she uploaded it all into the system. Normally, I am usually the techy one who completes paperwork and all the online applications in our home and does not have a problem. I was already feeling so stressed out and overwhelmed with everything happening in my life at the time, and I couldn’t focus. But this time, all I needed was a little direction and my friend.

On the other hand, I was ecstatic that I did not need to pay for this option. She continued to share with me other programs that the Early Coalition Of Broward County offered. Even though it was a different county, they all had the same mission of helping families and providing them with valuable resources.

We all need that help sometimes; at Broward Mom Collective, we understand that as a mom, “you don’t know what you don’t know,” and that’s one of the reasons we are here is to help, guide and support you by providing these resources and information to you!

If you need help completing your child’s VPK application, we are just a phone call away!
