Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: The Armory Community Center at Dowdy Field

This 2019 voter-approved General Obligation Bond project saw the complete renovation of the old armory building along Dixie Highway and Johnson Street. The renovated building now features an indoor sports facility including basketball, batting cages and soccer goals, as well as ADA compliant restrooms, office and community meeting space, and storage areas. Exterior improvements include a striking new paint scheme, landscaping, and a better connection to the Dowdy Sports Field.
