Cool Mom Or Not It’s Okay

We had a blast creating these treats for Maverick and Victoria’s teacher this year! Teachers play a vital role in our society. They are responsible for nurturing the minds of the future generation and instilling values such as hard work, respect, and responsibility. Teachers are not just educators but also mentors, counselors, and advocates for their students. They provide a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn, grow, and develop critical thinking skills. I noticed that I would keep comparing myself to other moms, and what they were doing. Then I realized that it is the thought that counts!

The impact that teachers have on their students lasts a lifetime, and they often shape the trajectory of their lives. How could we not show appreciation! We decided to add some cool flower plants, this year and more!

How to Make a Planting Pot for Teacher Appreciation

Making a planting pot for teacher appreciation is a fun and easy craft that kids can do at home. You can be creative, and make it simple, or you can even just let the kids have a blast and dive into their creativity when doing this! Check it out!

Here are a few more ideas that you can do for teacher appreciation week!

Personalized Mugs

A personalized mug is a simple yet thoughtful gift that any teacher would appreciate. You can customize it with a special message, their name, or a design that reflects their personality.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are a practical gift that can be used for anything from books to coffee. Consider getting a gift card for a local bookstore or coffee shop that your child’s teacher enjoys.

Summer Fun

We live in Florida, think fun in the sun! Items that teachers can use for the summer coming up is also a great idea! Honestly who does not need an extra handbag!

Handmade Gifts

Handmade gifts are always appreciated as they show that you put time and effort into creating something special. Consider making a photo album, a personalized pencil holder, or a homemade bookmark.

Plants

Plants are a great way to brighten up a classroom and add some greenery. Consider gifting your child’s teacher with a low-maintenance plant that they can keep in their classroom. If you are unable to make it you can purchase a plant from your local nursery!

Snacks

You can make a snack basket, filled with lots of yummy treats and goodies!

Personalized Items

Think of things that you would love to have, to get pampered, or even everyday life essentials is a great way to start! You can add hand lotions, spa kits, and more!

Classroom Supplies

Teachers often have to pay for classroom supplies out of their own pocket, so consider gifting them with some much-needed supplies such as pens, markers, or paper.

Everyone knows what we could use in day, if not don’t hesitate to ask, teachers love when you ask. In conclusion, teachers deserve to be celebrated and appreciated for all that they do. By giving a thoughtful gift, such as a handmade planting pot, we can show our gratitude for their tireless efforts in shaping the future generation. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the important role that teachers play in our society and thank them for their unwavering commitment to our children’s education. Honestly, I feel this is how we teach our children to love and appreciate those around us, and instill the power of giving within them!

The kids especially love posting videos on their SuperHeroes and Doll Houses YouTube channel and watching other kids play (don’t they all). As parents, they strive to share their Jamaican and Guyanese heritage lessons while raising kind, loving, and compassionate children. They believe in Frederick Douglass’s philosophy, who said that “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”
