How To Stay Incredibly Organized While Traveling With Kids This Holiday

Traveling with kids can be a lot of fun, but it can also be a lot of work. If you’re not careful, it’s easy to let the little things slip through the cracks and end up with a big mess on your hands. But don’t worry, I’m here to help. In this blog post, I’ll give you some tips on how to stay organized (and sane) while traveling with kids.

Florida Moms, Can You Travel With A Toddler?

One thing I’ve noticed about being a Florida mom is that many of us have family that live in other states. If you have travel plans via Fort Lauderdale International Airport or driving, travelling with kids can feel stressful and overwhelming. With these tips, whether you are travelling with two babies or four babies, it can be a fun experience filled with many memories.

Make a packing list and check it twice.

This may seem like an obvious one, but it’s worth mentioning. Before you pack for your trip, sit down and make a list of everything you need to bring. This will help you keep track of everything and make sure you forget nothing important.

Pack ahead of time.

Don’t wait until the last minute to pack. This will only lead to stress and chaos. Start packing a week or two before your trip so that you have plenty of time to get everything together. If you noticed you are missing some items, you will still have time to buy what you need. Saving the toiletries and your kids favorite things for last.

Bring snacks and drinks.

If you’re traveling with young children by car, it’s important to bring along snacks and drinks to keep them happy and hydrated. Pack some healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables, as well as some fun surprises like candy and chips. And don’t forget the drinks! Water is always a good choice, but you might also want to pack some juice boxes for the kids.

Take breaks often.

If you’re driving long distances with young children, it’s important to take breaks often so that everyone can stretch their legs and use the restroom. Plan your route ahead of time and factor in plenty of stops along the way.

What To Pack When Travelling With Kids

If you’re like me, then the thought of packing for a vacation sends you into a panic. How am I going to fit everything my kids need AND all of my stuff in our bags? And don’t even get me started on what to pack for the plane! Don’t worry though, whether you’re headed across the state or across the globe for the holidays, this list will help make your packing process a little less stressful.

Clothes

Of course, you’ll need to pack clothes for your kids! Depending on where you’re going and the time of year, you’ll want to pack different types and amounts of clothing. If you’re travelling to a warm climate, you’ll want to pack light clothes made from natural fabrics like cotton. If you’re travelling to a cold climate, you’ll want to pack heavier items like sweaters and jackets. You should also pack at least one change of clothes for each child in case of spills or accidents during travel.

Shoes

You’ll also need to pack a few pairs of shoes for each child. Again, the type of shoes you’ll need will depend on your destination and the time of year. If you’re going to a beach or pool, you’ll want to pack flip flops or sandals. If you’re going somewhere with lots of walking, you’ll want to pack comfortable sneakers. And if you’re going somewhere cold, you’ll want to pack boots or other closed-toe shoes.

Toiletries

Be sure to pack all the toiletries your kids will need for the trip, including sunscreen, insect repellent, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. You may also want to pack any medications your children take regularly, just in case they get sick while you’re away from home.

Toys and Books

To keep your kids entertained on the trip, be sure to pack some of their favorite toys and books. A few small toys will go a long way in preventing boredom (and meltdowns!). If your children are old enough, you may also want to bring along some handheld electronic games or tablets loaded with kid-friendly apps and games.

Miscellaneous Items

Finally, there are a few miscellaneous items you should pack when travelling with kids. These include things like diapers and wipes (if your children are still in diapers), bottles or sippy cups (if your children are still drinking from them), and blankets, pillows and loveys (for naps on the go).

Super Mom Tips:

  • Label everything – your child’s clothes, their toys, and your luggage.
  • Pack light – you don’t need to bring everything with you unless there are no stores where you are going.
  • Keep all of your important documents together in a safe place

Traveling with kids can be a lot of work, but it’s also a great opportunity to create memories with your family. The most important thing to remember is to enjoy yourself. Explore fresh places and don’t be afraid to try new things. Even if everything doesn’t go according to plan, you’ll still end up with some significant stories to tell. By following these tips, you should be able to stay organized while traveling with kids. Just remember to plan, pack everything you need, and take breaks often. If you do these things, traveling with kids can be a lot of fun.
