Fall Season in New Hampshire!
What a beautiful week it was! I am so happy that I could visit my son in New Hampshire. He is in the Navy, and spending time with him is so precious!
We started at Hong Asian Noodle Bar in Dover. Delicious! A warm atmosphere with super friendly service. Finishing your bowl of noodles gives you a $5 credit toward a future meal. I took half of my bowl to go, but my son, who is 23 years old, got the $5 credit!
I visited my son’s house and was so happy to reconnect with his dog, Jade. I walked the dog in the afternoon, looking at the beautiful giant trees and leaves starting to turn yellow.
In the evening, we visited Legends: Bar/Barbecue/Billiards in the heart of downtown Portsmouth. The place is fun and a social gathering place for locals and tourists. I had the chance to meet my son’s friends. I am so happy that he has a fantastic group of friends that he can count on.
The next day, we traveled to Massachusetts and had a delicious homemade breakfast at Morning Buzz Café. My son was excited to introduce his new girlfriend, and we had a lovely time together. In the evening, we went to Boston Lights! Finding parking took a long time, but it was worth it! What an enchanting adventure! It is a beautiful event where you can spend time with your loved ones or by yourself while enjoying views and engaging in exciting activities with the little ones. It is a yearly event; in 2024, it will be held from August 2 to November 3. I highly recommend it; it was magical.
Sunday it was the Seafood Festival in Hampton Beach. My son and I ran the Seafood Festival 5K; it was early morning, the sun was getting up, and the run started and finished on the beach; the middle part was on the street next to the beach. It was a little bit cold for me because the temperature was in the 50 degrees and windy, but it is easier to run when it is cooler rather than the Florida heat. After the run, we enjoyed the Seafood Festival, music, and all the vendors. The Miami Dolphins played in the afternoon, so we wore our jerseys and went to the Downton Portsmouth restaurant to watch the game. It was Dolphins first game of the year, and we won! On the next day, we visited an older submarine, very impressive! My son knew that I love to visit the lighthouse, so he brought me to Sohier Park in York, Maine, where we walked and talked and took pictures of the beautiful lighthouse.
Family is everything to me, and I am so blessed to have the best kids in the world!
At the beginning of October, I will be in Denver, Colorado, and at the end of October I will travel with my husband to Lexington, Virginia where we will meet with our daughter! Exciting travel coming up! Stay tuned!
