A Local Mompreneur
…… and here is a quick glimpse into my life!
“My name is Shelissa and I am a local-mompreneur! I am excited to be featured on Broward Mom Collective’s Network!
As a Mompreneur, I always start the day as “mom.” Just as in spelling the word, we always begin as moms. I spend time with my 3-year-old son. Most days, I wear both mom and business hats and do these things together; I’m not always that great at balancing it all but always striving to do my best. While still learning ways to balance time and finding ways to let my Mini CEO assist, my husband is a great help in the daily process. On my day to produce designs and products, we tag-team office hours and parenting roles. Evening and nights can be challenging when you have a little one who never wants to go to sleep and nights are my main working hours- I do my live “late night crafting” sessions on my social media outlets, I knock out most of my hands-on work, and sometimes I see the sunrise.
As a mom myself, I know how stressful gift-giving and birthday planning can be. One of my goals with “Its So Johnson Design” is to help take that stress away from other moms and add that special personal touch to everything we do. We are known for tumbler designs. Our designs range from monograms, and special occasion memorabilia, to more intricate and colorful glitter designs. Our tumblers are all sealed and leveled with Resin Epoxy to enclose the designs for long-lasting use. Our shirts are custom made to any sayings and celebration themes desired. We love to be that added special touch to graduations, retirements, family reunions, baby announcements and welcome home, and of course, birthdays.
Now, this is just a glimpse of what a day looks like, but all my mompreneurs know that every day can be a new adventure, but somehow we manage it all and make it happen!
