As moms we all know things get crazy, schedules get busy and every day is not as smooth as planned. To do lists get longer and longer but the day only has 24 hours. Wake up exhausted because you can’t remember what it’s like to sleep throughout the entire night. Change diapers, make breakfast, set a load to wash, feed the kids, inhale some food and coffee, play with the kids, change diapers, put the kids down for a nap, cook lunch, transfer the clothes from the washer to the dryer, bath time for the babies, feed the kids, story time for the babies, wash dishes, start cleaning the bathโ room, change diapers, babies need a snack………. OH EM Geeeee it’s almost 5pm and you realize you haven’t brushed your teeth yet!!!! (Let’s be real ladies. I KNOW I can’t be the only momma that this has happened to!) Hubby gets home from work in a few minutes. Hurry up. Quick! You have to look human when he gets here. Wait, hold on. You still have to go to the supermarket. This is total madness. You’re gasping for air. All you can do is try to rush. Try to finish this endless list of things that need to get done. The kids get cranky, they need attention. You’re about to walk out the door and prrrrrrrr (poopy fart), gotta change that diaper again. You get moody. You can’t figure out if you want to yell, cry pull your hair or all of the above. The kids keep whining. They keep trying to climb everything, including you. You’re running out of air…..
Relax momma, you’ve got this!
Running on E and trying to get everything done is pretty normal. We’ve all been there. One day you may be able to get it all done but realistically that won’t always be the case. It’s tough!!! As a mom of 2 under 2 I’ve learned that it’s ok to not finish doing everything that I wanted to get done in one day. Even when I only had one baby I constantly found myself running out of time. I’ve learned that it’s ok to take a few minutes to breathe. Being a mom makes us super heros. I get it!!! But we’re still human!!! We still need to refuel if we want to be able to keep the ball running. Stressing about not having enough time doesn’t make anything better. This isn’t fun for you or for the kids. Take it easy on yourself. Don’t beat yourself up because you couldn’t do a million things today. At the end of the day you’re doing the best that you can!
Remember, you got this momma.
